We adopted Ubercart 3 running on Drupal 7 after years of running Ubercart 2 on Drupal 6. We love Ubercart as an eCommerce platform, and have invested a lot of time and effort in getting to know it, how to maintain it and how to extend it. We really like the power and flexibility of Web Application Frameworks like WordPress, Drupal, Backdrop, OSCommerce, Magento and many others. We have about 20 years of experience when it comes to running eCommerce websites and think that a small community of people want to have hosted, managed Ubercart rather than have to go through a painful and expensive migration to anything else, including the newer versions of Drupal. We are also noticing the rise of hosted solutions like WIX and SHOPIFY, and think that there might be room in the market for a new business model surrounding Open Source software now that micro-services and micro-payments are possible.
